Main Priorities

As your Town Councilor, I am committed to tackling the challenges facing South Kingstown while honoring the values that make our town special. These priorities reflect my commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive, and more resilient community for everyone.

1. Affordable Housing for All

South Kingstown’s families, seniors, and young professionals deserve a place to call home. I will work to:

  • Expand affordable housing options to support families, retirees, and those just starting out.
  • Encourage innovative housing solutions that preserve our town’s character while addressing urgent needs.
  • Partner with state and local leaders to secure funding for sustainable, affordable development.

No one should have to leave South Kingstown because they can’t afford to live here.

2. Strong Oversight of the New High School

A new high school is a critical investment in our community’s future. I will:

  • Ensure the project is completed on time and on budget, holding all parties accountable.
  • Advocate for state-of-the-art facilities that empower teachers and inspire students.
  • Keep the public informed throughout the process with regular updates and opportunities for input.

Our students deserve a high school that prepares them for the future while respecting the taxpayers’ trust.

3. Supporting Small Businesses and Nonprofits

Local businesses and nonprofits are the heartbeat of South Kingstown. I will:

  • Provide resources and support to help small businesses thrive in the face of rising costs and economic challenges.
  • Foster public-private partnerships to strengthen the role of nonprofits in serving our community.
  • Promote programs that encourage entrepreneurship and community investment.

When our businesses and nonprofits succeed, our entire community benefits.

4. Keeping Taxes Low

Families and homeowners are struggling with rising costs, and I’m committed to keeping South Kingstown affordable. I will:

  • Maintain fiscal responsibility to prevent unnecessary tax increases.
  • Support policies that allow seniors to age in place without fear of being priced out.
  • Encourage smart economic growth that bolsters our tax base without overburdening residents.

Affordability is key to keeping South Kingstown a place where everyone can thrive.

5. Sustainability and Safety for All

Our town deserves policies that protect our environment and improve quality of life. I will:

  • Expand safe bike paths and pedestrian walkways to create a more connected and accessible community.
  • Invest in renewable energy to reduce our carbon footprint and save taxpayers money.
  • Prepare for climate resiliency by prioritizing infrastructure upgrades to withstand extreme weather.

Protecting our environment isn’t just about today—it’s about the future we leave behind.

6. Transparent and Accessible Government

Good government starts with listening and acting on behalf of the people. I will:

  • Hold regular public meetings in accessible spaces across town to engage with residents.
  • Advocate for open communication and make it easier for residents to connect with their leaders.
  • Build partnerships with organizations like the University of Rhode Island, local nonprofits, and other stakeholders to solve problems collaboratively.

The best decisions come from collaboration and input from the people who call South Kingstown home.

A Vision for South Kingstown

These priorities represent my commitment to building a South Kingstown that works for everyone. With your support, we can ensure our town remains a place where families, businesses, and nonprofits flourish.

Let’s create a stronger, more inclusive South Kingstown—together.
